Take Time to Learn
Take Time to Learn gives adults who once thought learning was impossible the opportunity to learn basic Maths and English skills. These sessions deliver tailored teaching sessions that meet the needs of each individual learner. We show them what they can achieve with the correct support and teaching.
What does Take Time to Learn do?
Take Time to Learn is a flexible and adapted opportunity for adults to learn basic Maths and English skills. This ranges from reading, writing, and counting to functional skills level 1 & 2.
We have a team of specialist teachers and trainers that can make learning accessible to people with various needs. This project's mission is to help people to achieve following years of educational trauma and being told that they cannot achieve and succeed.
These sessions are much more than learning in a classroom. They offer personal learning opportunities, learning style exploration, relationship building, communication skills development, and so much more.
Our sessions are nothing like college or school; they are led by the learner and pressure-free. Exams and qualifications are optional. We want you to learn at your pace and in your own way.
How can you help?
We do not charge for our group sessions to avoid exclusion. We have received funding from Next Energy to keep our group running and to cover some of our exam costs.
Our paid services and fundraising allow us to keep offering this service and show adults facing social injustice that they can achieve and thrive in the community.
